(Day 26): Just five days after pouring the slab, I received a call from our building supervisor that they have started the frame. I thought that they must have only put one or two frames but was so surprised to see the ground floor structure being erected so quickly. I checked whether they were strong by pushing the pillars - well they are solid!

(Day 21): And next day on 17/10/2012, they poured in the concrete. Girls are happy to put their feet on to the slab. Ruby especially liked to run around while mom was happy posing on top of it.

(Day 1): Work finally started on 27/09/2012 - what a relief! We had lots of rocks - some as big as Mazda 2. Removal of rocks was included in the price and so we were not worried.

The soil was hard when dry but very sticky when wet. Preparation for concrete slab.



Lots of huge rocks. Better to include price for removal of rocks in the contract to avoid surprises.

Pipes for rain water, sewege and drains being laid underneath the soil. The first drain here colored in pink is actually not installed at the right spot which we discovered much much late due to which our drain pipe is now on the side of the piller instead of being at the back. Bad job by Metricon.
